Terms of Use

Effective date: October 14, 2026

Welcome to Billfold (钱夹 in Chinese, "the App"). The App is developed and operated by an independent developer ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

Your use of the App is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Anything these terms don't cover is governed by that agreement.

1. What the App is

The App is a personal balance sheet tool. You record the balances of your accounts and assets by hand, and the App calculates your net worth, asset mix, debts and related statistics. The App does not connect to your bank or brokerage accounts, does not make transactions, and does not hold your money.

2. Not advice

All figures, statistics, exchange rates and prices shown in the App are for your personal reference only and are not investment, tax, legal or financial advice. Before making financial decisions, rely on official figures from your bank, broker or other institution, and consult a professional where appropriate.

3. Exchange rate and price data

Exchange rates come from Frankfurter, a third-party public service. Fund and stock prices and names come from third-party public data such as Tencent Finance and Tiantian Fund (East Money). This data may be delayed, missing or incorrect, and may stop at any time for reasons outside our control. We try to keep the service available but make no guarantee about the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the data. You can always enter exchange rates and balances yourself.

4. Your data

5. Billfold Pro

The App is free to use. The free wallet holds up to 10 cards (archived cards don't count). Billfold Pro unlocks unlimited cards, 4 more leathers and icons, multi-currency and other features, as described on the in-app purchase screen. Billfold Pro is offered in two ways:

Prices are as shown in the App Store at the time of purchase and may vary by country or region. Billfold Pro has no free trial and does not support Family Sharing.

Restoring purchases and refunds

After switching devices or reinstalling, tap Restore on the in-app purchase screen to get your purchases back. All payments are processed by Apple. Refunds are requested through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and are granted at Apple's discretion under its policies.

6. License and restrictions

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules. You may not reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App, or abuse or interfere with the price service the App uses (for example, by sending large volumes of automated requests).

7. Intellectual property

The App and its design, icons, text and code are our intellectual property. These terms don't transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we don't guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we are not liable for losses arising from decisions you make based on figures in the App, from errors or outages in third-party data, or from data loss caused by your device, iCloud or Apple Account. In any case, our total liability will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the App in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You can stop using and delete the App at any time. If you breach these terms, your license to use the App ends automatically.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top, and mention significant changes in the App's release notes. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
